FAQ
What is Seecura?
Why Seecura?
The app provides a platform for users to document final wishes and significant details for their loved ones, offering comfort for the future.
How is it certified if the User is alive?
Who is involved in the Seecura platform besides the user?
What happens if a user doesn't choose designated parties?
How does the procedure verify a user's status, start to end?
- Automatic emailing the user — their reply certifies that they are still alive and immediately interrupts the procedure.
- If the user doesn’t reply, the system sends three verification and certification emails to both designated parties. Their replies can interrupt or continue the procedure.
How are the designated parties and recipients engaged?
After downloading the app and signing up, recipients and designated parties receive a second email explaining how Seecura works and their role (certifying whether the user is alive for the designated parties, and receiving the instructions for recipients).
Note: The final wishes remain encrypted and inaccessible until the user is no longer present. The recipients will receive the access code of the documents reserved for them when the user’s status is verified.
Is it necessary for recipients and designated parties to download the app?
Can a user send the same final wishes to multiple people simultaneously?
What kind of material is possible to upload and send through Seecura?
The total size of the box (where the final wishes are stored) depends on the Seecura plan (Basic, Top, or Gold). A user can adjust the capacity of the box whenever they want by switching to another plan.
How does the document and image loading system work?
Where is the Seecura app available?
How does my mobile inactivity verification work? Must a user always be connected via SIM, Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth?
Does it work with any smartphone or operating system? Which version is required?
Can minors use the app?
Can a user access the profile from different devices?
What if a user decides to leave the mobile idle for a period? Can they transfer the app to another phone or device?
How can a user shift to another Seecura plan?
Why does the operating system require entering credit card information?
What happens if a user fails to make a payment and their plan expires?
Is it necessary to sign up with an email address and password?
Note: Recipients and designated parties will receive notifications with the user’s name. Therefore, it is recommended to sign up using first and last names.
Does the app have to be kept open for it to work properly?
An inactive period indicates a time-lapse when the mobile does not communicate with the outside world (because it is off, has no data traffic, or is out of reach).
Note: The user is the only one who can set an inactivity time lapse. They can also modify it at any time.
Does the app work without an internet connection?
How does uploading final wishes work? Can they be uploaded at any time?
Do the final wishes sent through Seecura have legal/testamentary value?
However, Seecura has ”testamentary value” if it is used to indicate where a person’s will (holograph or notary) has been kept. Seecura can also ”contain” a holographic will if this is photographed and stored in the system.
Note: Seecura does not replace the legal provisions of the user’s country. It is always advisable to inquire about the local testamentary legislature.
What if user’s mobile phone is lost or stolen?
If the inactive period indicated by the user is exceeded, then the procedure for certifying whether they are alive gets activated.
Note: Seecura can work on one device only. Launching the app on another phone automatically deletes its presence from the primary device.
Is it possible to unsubscribe? What will happen to the final wishes in that case?
How is privacy protected?
Note: We recommend uploading the content to the Seecura server on a mobile phone. The system guarantees anonymity and privacy. However, if the mobile phone is lost or stolen, then the files in the mobile phone’s memory might become accessible to anyone.
In case a user forgets their password or loses their PUK, what should they do?
How is file security ensured?
Encryption takes place on the server side, with keys managed by Amazon S3 (SSE-S3).
The uploaded content and the related decryption keys are not stored on the same platform. For this reason, the submitted content cannot be modified by the user — only deleted and replaced.
All messages created and sent by the Seecura system on a mobile phone are automatically deleted from the log of created messages. Sent messages are tracked only in the form of a sole description, and the recipient’s name remains in the list of messages sent.
